MSO Penalties for Inappropriate Behavior

Fighting with anyone by means of mutually exchanged blows delivered by hand, head, fist, or other portions of the body Minimum 3 games Minimum 3 games
Fighting with anyone as above, except the party in question does not take part by returning blows Case by Case Case by Case
Striking anyone with any object (rock, stick, etc.) which could be expected to result in serious injury Minimum Season Minimum Season
Assaulting of a referee by a player (deliberately pushing, striking, kicking, or attempting to kick, strike, or push a referee or linesman) Minimum 3 games Minimum 3 games
Assaulting of a referee by a coach, club official, parent or spectator (deliberately pushing, striking, kicking, or attempting to kick, strike, or push a referee or linesman) Minimum 3 games Minimum 3 games
Throwing of objects (soccer balls, snow or ice balls, mud, dirt, rocks, etc., at anybody.
Note: In the event that such object strikes to target, the player could be charged with assault.

Entering the playing field by a coach or spectator, to argue with a referee, disrupting play (penalty will be assessed against the coach) Minimum 1 games Minimum 1 games

Any ejection from a game not specifically defined above Minimum 1 games Minimum 1 games
Receiving three cautions (yellow card) during one (1) playing season. Subsequent to suspension being served, player will be given additional penalty upon 2nd additional caution, i.e. 3 yellows-1 game suspension, 2 more yellows-1 game suspension, 2 more yellows, 1 game suspension. A 2nd yellow during a match, resulting in a red card, counts toward the cumulative total, i.e. if the 2nd yellow during a match is also 3rd yellow during season, then the penalty would be two game suspension (red card plus 3rd season yellow) 1 game 1 game
As a few of the offenses listed above may also violate local, state and federal criminal and civil codes and ordinances, those offenses may also warrant criminal charges. Nothing in these MSO penalty guidelines shall be construed to limit the rights of MSO to seek further recourse through law enforcement and federal, state and local judicial systems.
