Players Code of Ethics

While I am playing for a team in the MSO League, I will abide by the following list of ethics:

• I will play by the rules.
• I will respect the referee.
• I will treat my teammates with the same respect I want them to have for me. Always being
  positive and leaving the teaching and correction to my coaches.
• I will respect my opponent and their coaches. I understand that without opponents there
  can be no game and that my opponent shares the same interest and passion for the game.
• I will not disparage my opponent based on ability or any cultural differences.
• I will listen and learn from my coaches, always showing them respect.
• I am responsible for my own actions.
• I will try not to swear or use bad language; I will be humble in victory and graceful in
  defeat.
• I understand that the competition is conducted in a public forum whereby children may
  be present. I will conduct myself with the utmost in self control refraining from foul
  language, jestures and altercations.
• I acknowledge that I am a member of a team and as such, I am responsible for my team-
  mates as well as myself. I will encourage and remind my team-mates of this code of
  conduct and will accept the consequences of any disciplinary action placed upon my team
  as a result of word or actions by myself, team-mates and coaches.
• I will not possess or consume alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs prior to or during the
  soccer match which I will be participating. I fully acknowledge that these activities are
  against the law and the MSO will fully participate in supporting the prosecution to the
  fullest extent of the law for a violation of this policy.
